Every tonne calculated.
Every calculation traced.
IPCC 2006 & 2019 Refinement factors. GHG Protocol methodology. All 7 Kyoto gases. Scope 1, 2 and 3 — with a full derivation chain from source data to final tCO₂e.
Methodology
Four standards. One calculation.
No proprietary factors. Every calculation references internationally recognised, peer-reviewed standards. Auditors verify every figure against the primary source.
Primary emission factor source
Volume 2 Energy, Volume 3 Industrial Processes. All Tier 1 default factors for stationary combustion, mobile combustion, and fugitive emissions.
Updated factor values
Where 2019 Refinements provide updated values, Sustaineve applies the most recent. Refinement source recorded in every audit trail entry.
Accounting methodology
Scope boundary definition, operational control consolidation, and emission factor application follow GHG Protocol Corporate Standard.
CO₂-equivalent conversion
IPCC AR5 100-year GWP values for CH₄ and N₂O. Each GHG tracked separately before CO₂e aggregation. GWP source documented per calculation.
Factor Reference
Scope 1 categories — IPCC table reference
Each GHG Protocol Scope 1 category mapped to its IPCC source chapter. The exact table reference is recorded in every calculation.

Sector process factors
Scope 2 uses India CEA state-level grid factors and IEA factors where applicable. Full library at IPCC Emission Factors.
How it works
Five steps. Full traceability.
Activity data ingestion
Fuel consumption, electricity, process inputs — validated data from collection stage, checked for completeness before calculation runs.
Emission factor selection
System selects the IPCC emission factor for the fuel type, source category, and region. Factor table reference recorded for audit.
GWP application
CH₄ and N₂O emissions converted to CO₂e using AR5 100-year GWP. Each greenhouse gas tracked separately before aggregation.
tCO₂e output
Final emission in metric tonnes CO₂ equivalent. Scope 1 and Scope 2 calculated and maintained separately per GHG Protocol.
Audit trail recorded
Activity → factor → GWP → tCO₂e. Every step logged with source reference. Full derivation chain visible per source, facility, period.
CCTS
India Carbon MarketCCTS emission intensity — calculated automatically.
India's Carbon Credit Trading Scheme requires emission intensity measurement (tCO₂e per unit of production). Sustaineve calculates CCTS intensity metrics from the same Scope 1 & 2 inventory — no separate data entry. Textile sector intensity targets active from April 2025.
Intensity calculation
tCO₂e per unit of production calculated automatically from Scope 1 & 2 inventory.
Baseline year comparison
FY 2023–24 baseline locked. Each subsequent year compared against it.
Target vs actual tracking
Sector intensity targets tracked in real time as data is entered.
Registry documentation
Audit-ready output for Indian Carbon Market portal submission.
Scope 3 — Value Chain
Scope 3 — all 15 value chain categories.
Upstream and downstream emissions — from purchased goods to end-of-life treatment. Every category calculated using IPCC-aligned spend-based or activity-based methods.
Upstream (Categories 1–8)
Downstream (Categories 9–15)
