Manufacturing companies — the backbone of India's economy — have no reliable, affordable, audit-grade system to measure and report their Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. Spreadsheets break. Consultants are expensive. Generic ESG platforms are built for service companies, not factories.

BRSR, GHG Protocol, India CCTS, and EU buyer requirements are not future concerns. They are active obligations for Indian manufacturers today. The penalty for non-compliance is not a fine — it is lost orders, failed audits, and competitive disadvantage.
The existing tools are wrong.
Global carbon accounting platforms are built for service companies in developed markets. They do not understand coal boilers, state-specific Indian grid factors, or the operational reality of a composite textile mill. They require expensive consultants and produce reports that manufacturing auditors struggle to validate.
We built from manufacturing up.
Sustaineve is designed around how Indian factories actually operate — the fuel types they burn, the electricity they purchase, the data they already track. IPCC 2006 and 2019 Refinement emission factors, state-wise CEA grid factors, BRSR-ready output — built in from day one.

Every emission factor in Sustaineve references IPCC 2006 and 2019 Refinements — the same source your auditor uses. Every Scope 2 calculation uses CEA state-specific grid emission factors. There is no approximation engine here. There is no "good enough for a dashboard." Every number Sustaineve produces is defensible in an audit.
Manufacturing domain understanding.
Stationary combustion from coal-fired boilers. Mobile combustion from captive vehicle fleets. Fugitive emissions from refrigerant systems. Purchased electricity from state DISCOMs at state-specific factors. Sustaineve understands these sources because we built for them — not retrofitted them.

Every calculation in Sustaineve maintains a complete audit trail — data source, emission factor applied, calculation methodology, version of standard referenced. When your auditor asks how you arrived at 2,840 tCO₂e, you export the full methodology in one click.
Roadmap
Where we are going.
Sustaineve currently covers Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG accounting with BRSR-ready reporting. We are building toward Scope 3 coverage, full BRSR report generation, SBTi target-setting, and decarbonisation tracking — aligned with India's evolving regulatory landscape and the global push toward net-zero manufacturing.
We are starting where the compliance gap is most acute and building outward from there.

The Team
The founder.
Sustaineve was founded by someone who mapped a compliance gap and decided the only logical response was to build the solution.
Arpit Gupta is the Co-founder of Sustaineve. A Business Analyst by background, Arpit Gupta discovered that Indian manufacturers had no reliable system to measure their emissions — and as a serious analyst, he mapped the gap until the only logical conclusion was to build the solution himself. Sustaineve is the compliance-grade GHG accounting platform he founded to give every Indian manufacturer the same emissions visibility that modern companies have over their finances.
